about

The Pacific Northwest is as picturesque as the most sought after Ansel Adams photograph. Where else do desserts, rainforests and snow-capped peaks exist all within the same region—like all of the Creator’s beauty convened in a land area often referred to as Cascadia, the emerald pearl of North America.

Music for Documentaries in the Pacific Northwest vol. 1, aims to take the listener on an instrumental sea, land and air survey of the PNW’s entrancing scenery. This includes its trademark, indie rock music landscape that exists in every one of its major cities. These songs have been used for two documentaries by Seattle independent filmmakers, Guerrilla Films and William Pierce films, including the newly released Local Treasure. This documentary covers the importance of the Seahurst Restoration Project, which has begun removing the seawall at Seahurst Park in Burien, WA. This will allow the natural restoration of the park’s ecosystem. Among many other environmental benefits, the restoration will help re-establish habitat that will make it possible for Chinook and other species of salmon to flourish, as well as extending the park’s beaches and adding a wetland estuary to the area.

Music for Documentaries in the Pacific Northwest vol. 1 is the first film collaboration for Kylmyys and the musical duo plan to score many more films in the future.
